WINNING OATMEAL ROLLS
2 Packages Active Dry Yeast
1/3 Cup Lukewarm Water


Dissolve yeast in water. Set aside to proof.

1 Cup Quick Oats
2 Cups Water
3 Tablespoons Margarine
2/3 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Tablespoon Granulated Sugar
1 1/2 Teaspoons Salt

Mix together in large mixing bowl.

5 Cups All Purpose Flour

Add enough flour to make a thin batter. Add yeast mixture. Mix in enough of the remaining flour to make a soft dough.

Put dough on lightly floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl, turning once to coat all surfaces. Cover and let raise until double in bulk.

Work down. Shape into rolls or 2 loaves of bread. Bake rolls at 350•F. for 20-30 minutes. Bake loaves at 350•F. for 25-35 minutes or until loaves sound hollow when tapped.
