University Guest Housing

The following accommodations are available only for individuals coming for academic purposes or university business. These apartments are managed by Housing and Dining Services. In keeping with university policy, we cannot accommodate family and social visits.

The nightly rate for the first guest is $50. (This rate is in effect through April 30, 2019.) Some of our spaces are rented by floor, and apartments in Jardine 6 are rented by bedroom. An invoice will be created, and it may be paid by cash, check or credit card. Credit card payments may be made by telephone, for direct entry to a credit card reader. (Receiving credit card information by any other method is not permitted.) Payment may come directly from the guest, a KSU department, or in some cases, another institution. We prefer for the payment to be completed by the time of checkout. There is flexibility.

We receive inquiries almost daily. Inquiries do not establish a reservation. When a reservation is mutually agreed upon, the guest will receive a detailed confirmation e-mail with "reservation" in the subject line. The confirmation e-mail will list the guest's name, apartment address, in/out dates and numerous details about the apartment and check-in process. The confirmation e-mail can be sent to you, the guest or both of you, as needed.

Request information or a reservation by contacting Guest Services (785 532-6368, guestrh@k-state.edu). Questions are welcome. Our options are not all the same, and guests' circumstances and preferences vary.

In order to proceed with the reservation process, we will need from either the guest or sponsor:

      • guest's name, and names of anyone accompanying the guest (Some apartments have double beds. Some have single beds.)
      • gender of all individuals staying, as some apartments have shared bathrooms and living space
      • purpose of the visit
      • Most of our apartments are accessible only by stairs. Please indicate if the guest will need a ground-level, ADA-accessible apartment.
      • exact in and out dates (The second date listed will be assumed to be the departure date.)
      • any preference on the apartments described in the web page / Rank ordering is helpful.
      • contact information, unless a university employee prefers to receive reservation details, etc.
      • information on how to deliver/transfer the outside door and bedroom access cards and/or keys
      • information on how payment will be made (Will the guest or a university department make the payment?)
To establish a customer ID for payment by the guest, we need: guest's name and mailing address.
If a department will pay, we need: the "attention to" person's name, department's name and mailing address.

We cannot make a reservation without this information.
