Conferences and Guest Housing

Students attending conferences at HDS facilities.

We welcome people of all ages, from all over the world, to the K-State residence halls every summer. Experience K-State firsthand by staying in a residence hall that houses students during the academic year. We will do our best to accommodate your requests, by offering quality services at reasonable rates in our clean, safe facilities. All residence halls are air-conditioned, and located within walking distance of academic halls, the K-State Student Union, the Alumni Center and recreational facilities. We also invite you to enjoy our award-winning Dining Services.

Our services fall into three categories:

  • Conference Housing — Conference housing may involve a few people, or several hundred. A conference may be with us for one night, or several weeks. Most conferences request a meal plan. The one thing in common with every conference is that arrangements for all participants are made by and invoiced to a sponsor or organization. Services are initiated via an online Request for Services, but first it's important for a prospective sponsor to become familiar with our Conference Planner.

  • Guest Housing — This is our summer hotel operation, also housed in a residence hall. We are only able to house those who will be at K-State for an academic purpose, or for other university-related business. We can certainly accommodate prospective students, and orientation participants who need to arrive early or stay afterward. Our guests may request a double or single room in Moore Hall. A meal plan may be arranged, although most guests here for a brief stay choose to pay for meals individually at the dining center. We encourage use of our online reservation process, but a reservation is not required. Learn more here.

  • Summer School Housing — We accommodate students enrolled for K-State credit in traditional residence hall housing, via a room and board plan. Rates will vary depending on the length of stay and meal plan taken. Please contact Housing and Dining Services at 785 532-6453 or for more information, as summer school housing is managed separately from our conference and guest housing operations.
