Now is the Time to Explore Where to Live Next Year

Our residence halls and dining services remain some of the best campus accommodations in the nation: In the Princeton Review's "The Best 389 Colleges: 2024 Edition," K-State's residence halls were ranked at No. 8, our campus food at No. 9, our quality of life at No. 4 and happiest students at No. 2!

As a current resident, now is the time to explore on-campus housing for the 2024-2025 academic year. You have the power to choose your own on-campus space and level-up your living experience. Let our experienced student living team act as your guide to help you find the perfect home-away-from-home. These pages will show you how to proceed, as will the details outlined in emailed communication and assistance from your staff. (Ask your questions in person at one of our upcoming info sessions .)

Interested in an off-campus experience? Consider Jardine Apartments! Jardine offers a furnished hybrid option as well as traditional apartment living for any non-first-year student. Meal plans are available and optional for all Jardine residents.

Selecting your room during the CYE process allows you to choose before incoming freshmen and transfer students. You can still secure on-campus housing after the dates outlined in these pages, but you'll be competing with far more students for the space you want.

Not currently living with us? The process to obtain on-campus housing at K-State is outlined on our Where Should I Live? page .

Undecided about whether to stay or move off campus? We've compiled a ton of reasons why on-campus isn't just for freshmen, and there are lots! View all the advantages to living on campus .

Hybrid Apartments

The popular " Hybrid Apartment " model is back this year. Choosing a hybrid allows you to live in one of our two-, three- or four-bedroom Jardine apartments, but to rent by the room as an individual.

  • No need to confirm roommates
  • Meal plan is optional
  • Room is furnished (bed, dresser, desk)
  • All utilities, including internet, are built in to monthly rent
  • JP's Sports Grill and Cornerstone CafĂ© at Jardine located in the complex
  • Located just steps away from the Rec Center and sports complex

COVID-19 Protocols

Housing and Dining Services’ top priority remains providing you with housing, meal plan, and community-building options designed to support student success. We will apply pandemic-related safeguards to this model as deemed necessary by our county health department and university leadership.

How Do You Choose?

We're proud to be able to offer such a broad range of choices, but we also realize the selection can be overwhelming. That's why we've developed the Explore Your Options worksheet . You can browse and compare, then you'll know exactly what your top choices are when it's your turn to Choose Your Experience.

View the proposed 2023-2024 residence hall rates . (2024-2025 rates will be set in mid-November and are subject to Board of Regents approval.)

You can get a better idea of your apartment options by attending one of two Find Your Home at Jardine Apartments sessions presented at the Frith Community Center:
