ASSISTANT RESIDENCE LIFE COORDINATOR
This position allows graduate students to live-in one of nine residence halls in the Derby, Kramer or Strong complexes. The ARLC works closely with a full-time professional to co-supervise student staff consisting of resident and multicultural assistants. This graduate student has the ability to advise the Hall Governing Board, supervise/co-supervise the front desk operations, serve on departmental committees and take part in professional development sessions/activities. ASSISTANT COORDINATOR FOR DEPARTMENTAL INITIATIVES
ACDIs are live-on graduate students who are a part of a team of professionals and other graduate students. This position provides the opportunity to work within the departments’ four focus areas enrollment management, leadership, diversity and academics. ACDIs also have the opportunity to supervise an undergraduate staff of tutors or Academic Resource Center staff, advise student leader groups and collaborate with other campus partners to propel the department's focus areas. ASSISTANT COORDINATOR FOR APARTMENT LIVING
ACALs are live-in/live-on assistants within the Jardine Apartment Complex. This assistantship allows the graduate student to work closely with the Apartment Area Coordinator to assist with positive community development and academic success. There is potential to co-supervise resident assistant staff, advise student groups, serve on departmental committees and take part in professional development sessions/activities. ASSISTANT COORDINATOR FOR EVENT ACCOMODATIONS
The ACEA works closely with the Apartment Area Coordinator to facilitate community development and student success in an apartment setting by overseeing the operation of event spaces in multiple locations, assisting in the management of apartment operations that support a culture embracing academics, involvement, diversity, recruitment and retention efforts, and addressing the needs related to the implementation of a major redevelopment project. The ACEA will have the potential to supervise event accommodations staff, advise student groups, serve on departmental committees, and participate in professional development activities. REQUIREMENTS
Graduate assistants are required to be enrolled in a masters program, student personnel graduate program preferred, but not required. Leadership, programming, and community living required.
RENUMERATION
All graduate assistants are compensated at a rate of $15,000, furnished apartment and board plan, and eligibility for in-state tuition. Each postion starts July 2011.
