Housing and dining services system coordinator to be recognized
Nov. 6, 2017 — Gamage Dissanayake, systems coordinator at housing and dining services, will receive the Support Staff Award at the Upper Midwest Region-Association of College and University Housing Officers' annual conference.
Dining Services introduces 'Cultivate You' program
Sept. 26, 2017 — K-State Dining Services has introduced a new program called "Cultivate You." The program promotes wellness, sustainability and community through the food and services provided. Each month, a program will be offered that will focus on topics like local produce, whole grains, diverse beverages, ethnic cuisines and more.

June 6, 2017 — The June 2017 issue of Foodservice Equipment and Supplies magazine features the newly constructed Kramer Dining Center as its Facility Design of the Month.

May 11, 2017 — Kevin Cook, interim associate director of Housing and Dining Services, will present about theory and competencies at the Regional Entry Level Institute for Housing and Residence Life Staff seminar, June 12-15, at the University of Northern Iowa.
Housing and Dining Services honors outstanding leaders
May 10, 2017 — The K-State Department of Housing and Dining Services recently held their 2016-2017 Leadership Reception to honor students and staff for their achievements throughout the year. More than 40 people and programs were recognized at the event.
University dietitians represent K-State through national and state organizations

March 28, 2017 — Kansas State University's first residence hall to be built in more than 50 years will be dedicated in a public ceremony Saturday, April 1.
Dining services program to be honored at Kansas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics conference
March 13, 2017 — Each March, Housing and Dining Services at K-State celebrates National Nutrition Month with a program to educate residents about the importance of healthy diets. This year's project earned the program a grant from the Kansas Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
