K-State Housing and Dining Services has a new app! You will need to download the K-State Community app from either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store to pick up a package. The app can also be used to connect to your community.
- Open the K-State Community app
- The app is required to pick up a package. If you have a package to pick up, there will be a notification on the home screen. Navigate to the "Package Deliveries" page."
- Packages waiting to be collected will be listed under "Available"
- Choose the package you wish to pick up.
- Go to your community's front desk and show the package details to staff
- Once you've received your package, navigate to the "Package Details" and mark it as "Collected"
Once a package is marked as "Collected," it will move to the "Collected" tab.
- Sign in to your Resident Portal
- Select "Apply" then "Residence Halls 2026/2027" then "Residence Hall - Academic Year"
- Make any applicable selections
- Please note, the last question is the only mandatory question to answer
- Break Housing Selections
- Select the box next to "Fall Break - $175.00" if you need to stay over fall break in Fall 2026
- Select "Spring Break - $175.00" if you need to stay for spring break in Spring 2027
- Select "Winter Break - $500.00" if you need to stay during winter break
- Select if you would like more information about any of our specialty housing options
- Please note CAT Communities, Smurthwaite and Honors Housing require an additional application and confirmation process
- Enter the first and last name of any individual you give permission to receive information about your contract/application
- Select your answer to the mandatory question then click "Next"
- Review Terms and Conditions and select "Accept" and then "Next"
- Enter credit card information and click "Pay $230.00"
- Your application is complete! You can log out of your Resident Portal and look for more information in your K-State email
- Students will be able to add roommates to their application starting Monday, Jan. 12. Look for more information in your K-State email
- Login to your Resident Portal
- Navigate to your dashboard for the appropriate application year
- Select View
- Select "Edit Selections, then "Next"
- Select "Dashboard" to return to the dashboard or close out of the Resident Portal
- Sign in to your Resident Portal
- Select "View" and then "Residence Halls 2026-2027
- If you are a current resident and would like to cancel your current contract, please submit a request for a residence hall cancellation
- Select "View" on your application
- Navigate to the bottom of the page and select "Cancel Application"
- Read the terms of the cancellation and select the reason you are requesting to cancel your application, then select "Submit"
- You will be navigated to a confirmation page and can choose to view the cancelation request if you'd like to
Residence hall applications cancelled prior to June 1 are eligible for a refund of the $200 initial payment. Housing and Dining Services retains the right to determine the method of refund. Refunds may take up to 4-6 weeks from the time the contract cancellation request was received.
Housing contracts cancelled after June 1 do not result in a refund of the $200 initial payment.

- Review the image for a breakdown of eligibility for each apartment type
- Choose your pathway, then select the "Spring"
- If you have preferred roommates, select "Yes - I already know my group" or select "I'll decide on roommates later" if you don't currently have a preferred roommate(s)
- Complete your "additional information," then select "next"
- Review your selections and select next again
- Review the statement and accept, then review the payment amounts and select next
- Enter your payment information for the application payment and select the "Pay" button
- Once your contract is submitted, you can review and/or change your settings
- Navigate to the Resident Portal and either log in or register
- Select "Apply" and then "Residence Halls 2025/2026"
- In the Housing Options menu, select "Spring 2026"
- If you have preferred roommates, select "Yes - I already know my group" or select "I'll decide on roommates later" if you don't currently have a preferred roommate(s)
- Select your meal plan. This can be changed until Feb. 15 during the spring semester.
- Complete the remaining questions and select next, then review your selections and select next again.
- Review the Contract Terms and Conditions and accept, then review the payment amounts and select next.
- Enter your payment information for the initial contract payment and select the "Pay" button.
- Once your contract is submitted, you can review and/or change your settings.
- Log in to the Resident Portal
- Select the "Requests" button and then "Add Request"
- Select the "RH Room Move" option, then the reason for the request, either "New Room Type Request" or "Roommate Conflict"
- Add any applicable information to the "Request Summary" area
- Once your request is submitted, a staff member will reach out to you via your K-State email with further instructions
- Log in to the Resident Portal
- Select the "Requests" button and then "Add Request"
- Select the "RH Meal Plan" option
- Add any applicable information into the "Request Summary" area, then submit your request
As a reminder, the last day to decrease Residence Hall meal plans is Sept. 15 for the fall semester and Feb. 15 for the spring semester.
For current residents who need to cancel their current housing contract
- Log in to the Resident Portal.
- Select the "Requests" button and then "Add Request"
- Select the "RH Early Departure Request" option
- Add any applicable information in the "Request Summary" area
- Once your request is submitted, a Housing and Dining Services staff member will reach out to you via your K-State email
- Log in to the Resident Portal.
- Select the "Requests" button and then "Add Request"
- Select the "RH Break Housing Add" option
- Add any applicable information into the "Request Summary" area, then submit your request
- Log in to the Resident Portal.
- Select the "Requests" button and then "Add Request"
- Select the "JA Intent to Vacate" option
- In the "Detail Type" dropdown, select the type of your ITV
- Add any applicable information into the "Request Summary" area, then submit your request
