What You Need to Know About Jardine Apartments
What happens if I sign my Jardine Agreement and then my Visa is denied?
If your Visa is denied and you provide official denial documentation, the $400 deposit will be deferred to the next semester. If your Visa is denied again, a refund will be issued for the $400 deposit as long as you can verify with official documentation of the 2nd denial.
Why is my preferred apartment style not available?
There is a limited inventory of the most popular options (Highly Renovated, Traditional, Renovated, and Single Occupancy Modern). We advise students to start the process as soon as possible to have the best chance to find one.

What is the typical availability of apartments?
- There are multiple apartment style options available in Jardine. Jardine has a limited inventory of the most popular options (Highly Renovated, Traditional, Renovated, and Single Occupancy Modern), but there are other options that can help support your academic career.
- Availability of open apartments is limited; the best thing to do is fill out the application as early as possible.
- Completing an application does not guarantee a specific apartment style is available; please contact Housing and Dining Services to inquire on availability at that moment.
- Spring semester move-in inventory is extremely limited due to the time of year when most residents are staying the entire academic year.
For the most up-to-date pricing, please visit the website. Please note, not all apartment styles are available and many of our most popular options have limited inventory.
What if I have to move-in earlier than when my assigned apartment is available?
Jardine Apartments have temporary housing options for those students that arrive to the US prior to the apartment agreement start date. Please contact Housing and Dining Services at housing@ksu.edu for more information on whether there is availability for your scenario.
What do I need to do before I move in?
Step 1: (If you are assigned to a Hybrid apartment style, proceed to Step 2)
- If you have roommates, decide which roommate will be the Evergy (electricity) account holder.
- Set up your Evergy Account
- Call 1-800-383-1183
- Provide them with the following address:
Street Address as shown on your agreement.
Manhattan, KS 66502
- You will be asked to provide a social security number on the automated message;
- If you are an international student without a Social Security Number, when the system does this, keep trying to tell them you do not have one until you get a representative, Ex: Say “No” or “Representative”
- You will have to say this at least twice
- The representative will be able to assist and will want you to send a copy of your Passport to posid@evergy.com
- This must be done during business hours in the Central Time Zone.
- Failure to set up an Evergy account prior to arrival will result in not being able to move into your apartment.
Step 2: You can now begin the Check-In Process
- If you are anticipating arriving earlier than the start date of your agreement, please contact the Housing and Dining Services office to inquire about early move-in options.
