Get Involved

As an on-campus student, you have a variety of opportunities for leadership and involvement. All are wonderful ways to meet people, build strong friendships, improve your community and just have fun! Check into available leadership positions at your hall's front desk.

K-State Association of Residence Halls

Participating in K-State ARH gives you an opportunity to be involved in the administration and implementation of policies for the residence halls. Representatives from each hall meet with the K-State ARH executive board to address issues affecting residents. The organization also serves as the student voice to Housing and Dining Services administration. It sponsors campus-wide residence hall activities such as Homecoming, Winter Ball and Spring Fling. Many of these events are coordinated by student planning committees. Student delegations within K-State ARH represent the students living in K-State's residence halls at regional and national conferences. Visit the ARH website to learn more.

National Residence Hall Honorary

NRHH is the only national student honorary that recognizes the top 1 percent of residents who have contributed outstanding service and leadership in the residence halls, while also excelling at academics. New members are selected each spring.

Social Justice Alliance

The members of the HDS Social Justice Alliance educate residents about relevant issues in the residence halls through engaging programs and other activities. The Multicultural Lounge is located in Kramer Dining Center and contains resources for those wishing to learn more about diversity and its positive impacts on society.

Housing and Dining Ambassadors

This group of residence hall leaders represents the department to prospective students, families and other university constituents. They work to share their positive residence hall experience with others.

Hall Governing Board

Each residence hall has a governing board that administers policies and procedures based on its hall constitution. As a member of the HGB, you will be part of the primary decision making process that plans social, recreational and cultural activities.

Judicial Board

Judicial Board members address inappropriate behavior and its effect on others, while ensuring a resident's right to due process. The board holds formal hearings to rule on allegations of hall policy violations.

Future Leaders in Student Affairs (FLSA)
