Student Leadership Banquet 2017

Housing and Dining Services honors outstanding leaders

May 10, 2017 — The K-State Department of Housing and Dining Services recently held their 2016-2017 Leadership Reception to honor students and staff for their achievements throughout the year. More than 40 people and programs were recognized at the event.

Stephanie Bannister, assistant vice president for academic student services, was the evening’s keynote speaker. Shortly after her address, HDS interim associate directors Nick Lander and Kevin Cook surprised her by introducing a new scholarship in her name. Each year, HDS will sponsor two students’ attendance at STARS College, a leadership seminar for undergraduates interested in student affairs and campus housing professions.

Next came the year’s awards. Honorees included:
