2018 Move-In Day
Smooth Move: Instructions for Move-In Day 2018
Aug. 16, 2018 — Saturday, Aug. 18, is the official move-in day at K-State’s residence halls. Housing and dining services offers a warm welcome to all new and returning residents, and offers the following information to help them make the transition from home to college.
To minimize traffic disruption, the department has partnered with Manhattan authorities to identify routes specific to each residence hall. All domestic residents received a copy of these directions in the mail, along with a temporary parking pass. Drivers are asked to display on these documents on vehicle’s dashboard when they arrive in Manhattan.
After depositing their belongings in their room, students are invited to attend the annual Late Night Pancake Feed from 10 p.m. to midnight in Memorial Stadium. Each year, thousands of students come to enjoy free pancakes, inflatables, games, music and more.
At 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, all residence hall residents will attend a mandatory meeting to address important information about living on campus. In this meeting, hall staff will outline the many services and resources available to residents and explain department and university policies. The meeting is also designed to familiarize residents with hall staff who will assist them with their needs throughout the year.
Additional information about moving to campus can be found in an email sent to residents Aug. 1.
