Chelsea Paul brings leadership skills to Kramer Dining Center
July 17, 2019 — The Department of Housing and Dining Services recognizes Chelsea Paul, culinary operations manager at Kramer Dining Center, for her selection to participate in the National Association of College & University Food Services Leadership Institute June 16-21 in Solon, Ohio.
The Leadership Institute, this year hosted by the Nestle Professional Campus in Solon, encourages leadership at all levels of a foodservice operation. At the weeklong seminar, participants learned to identify different leadership styles, practice decision-making techniques, build motivated teams and communicate effectively, among other techniques.
Invitations to participate in the institute are made using a highly competitive selection process, with only 30 participants each year from college and university foodservice operations nationwide.
Founded in 1958, the National Association of College & University Food Services is the professional trade association for foodservice professionals at institutions of higher education in the United States, Canada and abroad. It provides its more than 550 institutional and 500 industry members with educational, networking and professional development opportunities, as well as a variety of informational publications. The association is also heavily involved in industry research.
