Brett Engleman Brett's Bio

Brett first joined the Housing and Dining Services JP’s Sports Grill in 2011 as a student employee. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management from Kansas State University. Upon completion at K-State, he was hired on as the Operations Manager in 2013. As of 2021, Brett is the General and Catering Manager for JP’s Sports Grill, overseeing the Sports Grill, Cornerstone Café at Jardine and Catering at Housing and Dining Services

Wes is a lifelong Kansas resident who graduated from K-State in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. He is an animal lover with three dogs and four cats and has a passion for software programming and video game design. Wes has run restaurants in Manhattan, KS for the last ten years and is looking forward to being an integral part of the K-State and Manhattan communities.

Miguel Perez Miguel's Bio

Miguel joined the department in August,1998, as Van Zile Quik Cats part time manager. Miguel became the Quik Cats Convenience Stores Full time manager in 2000. He is responsible of managing all the convenience stores located in our dorms, the Rec Center, and Wefald Cornerstone Cafe. He makes sure that these operations provide the best possible service to the students living in the dorms and fulfills their needs during their stay in our facilities.

Allan Ortiz Allan's Bio

Chef Allan Ortiz, a native of Costa Rica, moved to Kansas in 2015. He joined the Department of Housing and Dining as an executive chef for Retail Operations. Chef Allan completed his master's degree in Foodservice and Lodging Management from Iowa State University and continues his education in Food Science at Kansas State University.
