An exemption request that has been “canceled” means that the exemption request is incomplete due to missing information, missing documentation, or it is the wrong exemption request form the student submitted. Students can re-apply for the exemption but must include the missing information and/or documentation. Students can also re-apply if they submitted the incorrect exemption request form.
An exemption request that has been “denied” means that the student does not meet the qualifications for the exemption they applied for. They can appeal the denied exemption or try to apply for a different exemption. Appeal forms are submitted to the Vice President for Academic Success and Student Affairs. The Vice President for Academic Success and Student Affairs decision regarding an appeal is final.
