CAT Community Questions
If you no longer plan to participate in a CAT Community, you will need to remove it from your housing contract preferences ASAP. Your room selection date and time would then be adjusted only to reflect your contract date and time. If you drop the CAT Community after you select your room on April 15, that room reservation will be canceled so it can be available for a new CAT Community student.
The APDesign CAT Community is located on the 3rd floor of Goodnow, Marlatt and Wefald Halls. Goodnow Hall had traditional rooms, Marlatt Hall has traditional or suite-style and Wefald Hall has traditional-private rooms. Each hall has a limited number of rooms available for APDesign so students are evenly divided.
You do not need to be a part of a CAT Community or the same field of study to be pulled in as a confirmed roommate for a student participating in a CAT Community. When you select your room, the system will pull you and your other roommate into the room. Please note, if you were to drop the CAT Community at any time, that would mean that all roommates would be removed from the room and re-select based on the availability at the time of removal.
Yes, roommates can live together if you participate in two different CAT Communities that are located in the same hall. Please contact housing@ksu.edu for more information on how to navigate your room selection in this scenario.
Yes, if you are enrolled in a CAT Community, our system will only show you the rooms that are available for that CAT Community. Some of the CAT Communities have more specific areas than others.
