On-Campus Dining
Dining Centers and Meal Plans
What is a meal plan?
Dining Services promotes and provides a healthy lifestyle with access to nutritional information for students. Dining centers offer a wide selection of foods including low-calorie and nutrient dense options. The dining program offers a wide range of nutritious food through a choice of meal plans, as well as 10 retail operations to accommodate residents’ diverse backgrounds and busy lifestyles.
Two dining centers serve on and off-campus students, featuring a variety of made-from-scratch meal options. Both dining centers are a great place to connect with other students in the K-State community. Each time a student enters the dining center a meal is deducted from their meal plan.
Available Meal Stations in each Dining Center:
- Classics (home-style options)
- Southwestern (tacos, burritos, nachos)
- Wok (Asian-style)
- Pizza
- Italian Kitchen (pasta)
- Spuds (baked potato bar)
- Deli (sandwiches)
- Grill (hamburger, grilled chicken, hot dog)
- Salad Bar
- Dessert Bar
What if I have special dietary needs?
All Dining Services locations are staffed with registered and licensed dietitians who are available to assist residents following a diet modified for medical or religious purposes. The dietitian in your facility will be happy to help you locate the appropriate foods within the dining center to keep you healthy and safe.
- For dietary requests based on lifestyle or religion (vegan, Halal, Kosher, etc.), please contact the registered dietitian for your dining center.
When are meals available during summer and break periods (fall, winter and spring breaks)?
If you arrive to check-in to your room early, there is an additional daily cost. If the dining centers are operating, you will have access to 3 meals/day (excluding dinner on Sundays) during limited hours. Please check the website for the most up-to-date hours of operation.
Housing during the university break periods (fall, winter, and spring breaks), is not included in the Occupancy Period of this Residence Hall Contract but can be added for an additional cost. Residents may be asked to temporarily relocate during each break period to another hall or a furnished on-campus apartment.
