Residence Hall Fall 2026 Move-In

The staff of K-State Housing and Dining Services is excited to welcome you to your campus community and your new home away from home!
A note for parents, guardians and families: you may or may not receive all the same communication your student receives. Please encourage your student to begin regularly checking their K-State email address. Please also plan to join us for a webinar to discuss Move-In in July. These times and dates may be adjusted and will be solidified by late spring.
Residence halls open Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026 for the academic year. Students planning to arrive early may move in Sunday, Aug. 16, 2026 or Tuesday, Aug. 18 2026 for an additional fee of $55.00/day for each day prior to the official opening day.
Band and Sorority Recruitment Students: Move-In details for students participating in these programs will be communicated in July, 2026. Registration with Band and/or Sorority Recruitment is required prior to signing up for an arrival appointment.
Appointments:
Housing and Dining Services will send a notification to all residents via their K-State email when move-in appointments are available. Residents can anticipate receiving this email in July.
Early arrival groups (e.g. Marching Band, sorority recruitment) are working directly with Housing and Dining Services to have pre-scheduled move-in appointments. All residents who are a part of these groups must also complete the initial steps of hall check-in.
Residence Hall Handbook and Calendar
The residence hall handbook includes important policies and procedures. Residents are responsible for adhering to the terms of the handbook. Each resident should review the Residence Hall Handbook in its entirety. The updated calendar with important dates is included in the handbook as well. The calendar is updated yearly after the spring semester concludes. It has been updated for the 2025-2026 academic year.
