Smurthwaite Scholarship and Leadership House

My Smurthwaite; Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Friendship, Equity

Smurthwaite is an all-female hall that houses approximately 45 women on the east side of campus.

The house contains standard double and triple rooms, with community-style bathroom accommodations.

Smurthwaite residents must participate in leadership programming and maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA.

Residents pay lower rates, but assume more responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the house (such as front desk duty and cleaning).

Smurthwaite residents are assigned the Weekly 12 meal plan. The meal plan cost is included in the semester housing rate, which is unique to Smurthwaite.

Residents participate in a wide variety of activities that emphasize education, diversity and community service.

The five pillars of Smurthwaite are scholarship, leadership, service, friendship, and equity.
