Jardine Apartments Move-Out
If you've indicated that you'll be vacating your apartment at the end of the semester, we'd like to take this opportunity to send you a reminder to complete your Intent to Vacate form and begin the check-out process. If your plans have changed and you would like to stay in Jardine after your agreement ends, please email us at housing@k-state.edu to let us know your housing preferences and we can contact you with any available options.
Preparing to Vacate
File your Intent to Vacate (ITV) Form immediately. Failure to submit your ITV 60 days prior to vacating may result in an automatic penalty. If you are unsure of your exact exit date now, you may file for the end of your contract (hybrid May 31, apartment June 30) and move out prior to your contract end date. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate date changes past the original date submitted on the ITV, so please review all information carefully before submitting.
All residents vacating Jardine Apartments must complete the check-out process. Please begin at Step 1 and complete all the steps down to creating a check-out appointment or selecting to do a waiver check-out.
Scheduling a check-out appointment means an RA will meet you at the apartment. The RA will then: inspect the apartment, receive your keys and lock the door. When the RA receives the keys, you have officially checked out of the apartment and will not be permitted to remain in the apartment.
Waivers for checkout (by approval only, to get approval contact the Jardine office) are those that will be leaving when we do not have appointments. The apartment will be inspected after the office receives the keys.
Utilities for Apartment Contracts
Remember to disconnect your Evergy Electric or switch it to a remaining roommate's name. Evergy will continue to bill you if this is not completed. The Jardine Apartments Office is unable to notify Evergy to disconnect your electricity.
Utilities for Hybrid Contracts
No action is needed on your utilities because all utilities are covered by Housing and Dining Services as part of your rental rate.
