Eligibility Requirements

Admission into the house requires an application and approval process. Students who wish to live at Honors House must be active participants of the University Honors Program. (Eligible residents may choose a roommate who is not a participant of the honors program if space allows.)

View the honors program admission requirements for incoming freshmen. Once accepted into the University Honors Program, students must maintain a high level of academic achievement as evidenced by an overall Kansas State University grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Honors students who fall below this level have one semester to rectify this deficiency.

Current K-State students who have achieved a high level of academic success (minimum GPA of 3.5 with a minimum of 15 credit hours) and want to become a part of the University Honors Program should contact the program director to discuss this opportunity. Read more.

Transfer students with strong academic backgrounds are also encouraged to consult with the program director to review their record and determine eligibility and requirements. In general, transfer students eligible for the University Honors Program will have a minimum GPA of 3.5 from their previous school(s) based on at least 15 credit hours. Read more.
