Where will you live next year? Choose Your Experience!
If you're a current resident, now is the time to go hunting for on-campus housing for the 2020-2021 academic year. You have the power to choose your own on-campus living experience. Let our experienced student living team act as your realtor to help you find the perfect home-away-from-home. These pages will show you how to proceed, as will the details outlined in the email sent to residents on Jan. 22. Ask your questions in person at one of our upcoming info sessions.
Selecting your room during the CYE process allows you to choose before incoming freshmen and transfer students. You can still secure on-campus housing after the dates outlined in these pages, but you'll be competing with far more students for the space you want.
Not currently living with us? The process to obtain on-campus housing at K-State is outlined on our Where Should I Live? page.
Undecided about whether to stay or move off campus? We've compiled a ton of reasons why on-campus isn't just for freshmen, and there are lots! View all the advantages to living on campus.
The popular "Hybrid Apartment" model is back this year. Choosing a hybrid allows you to live in one of our 3- or 4-bedroom Jardine apartments, but to rent by the room as an individual.
- No need to confirm roommates
- Meal plan is optional
- Room is furnished (bed, dresser, desk)
- Located just steps away from the Rec Center and sports complex
Double as Single Rooms
We will again offer a limited number of our double residence hall rooms as singles for an extra charge.
New This Year
Please note that Boyd Hall in the Strong Community will be closed during the 2020-2021 academic year to allow for renovations. Rooms in Strong's Putnam and Van Zile halls will still be available.
Also, a third meal plan option will be added to the All-Access and Any 14 plans for the 2020-2021 academic year. The Flex 12 plan offers 12 swipes per week, which can be used in any combination in the dining centers or On-The-Go options, plus $150 per semester for use at select HDS retail locations and 2 guest meals per semester.
How Do You Choose?
We're proud to be able to offer such a broad range of choices, but we also realize the selection can be overwhelming. That's why we've developed the Explore Your Options worksheet. You can browse and compare, then you'll know exactly what your top choices are when it's your turn to Choose Your Experience.
You can get a better idea of your apartment options by attending one of two Find Your Home at Jardine Apartments sessions, held at the Frith Community Center:
Current apartment residents: 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 3
Current res hall residents: 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10
